Our Senior Group consists of FIS registered athletes who compete in Continental and World Cup events such as the Tour de Ski. Many of our athletes have competed in the World Junior Championships, World Under 23 Championships, World University Games and the Winter Olympic Games in 2010, 2014 & 2018. This group will be challenging for TeamGB places at the next Bejing Olympics in 2022.
Andrew is the one of the top XC athletes in the world coming 7th in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
Based in Lillehammer. Andrew has competed in XC skiing for over 15 years being introduced to the sport aged just 2.
This year, Andrew will train with Team Telemark during the off season in addition to attending British Nordic team camps.
Last season he achieved Britain’s first WC podium in a sprint event, finishing 3rd in the freestyle sprint in Toblach. He had other strong sprint results finishing 9th in Davos and 10 in Lahti finishing ranked 17th overall in the Sprint WC standings.
James lives in the mountains around Grenoble (France), raised by a French ski lover and an English mother.
He joined the British Nordic team at the age of 16 and has represented Team GB at the 2013 EYO and at World Junior Championships in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
His goals are to compete at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang in 2018, gain a top 60 Sprint in Senior World Champs in 2017 as well as a top 40 Sprint in the U23 World Championships also in 2017.
